Vekho P. Ringa — Editor, NGOGrant

Vekho P. Ringa is the Editor of NGOGrant, an independent platform for NGO funding research, compliance information and project-preparation resources in India.

Professional background

He holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.). He also serves as Chairman of Ura Zuveh Foundation, a grassroots organisation established in 1998 in Nagaland.

His work involves community development, organisational administration, project preparation and institutional documentation. The foundation’s activities include education, older persons’ welfare, agriculture and allied livelihoods, handicrafts and rural development. Ura Zuveh Foundation is separate from NGOGrant and its operator.

Editorial role at NGOGrant

As Editor, he is responsible for editorial direction, standards for research and publication, and coordinating substantive corrections. His social-development and legal education inform the questions the site addresses, but they do not replace current official rules or specialist professional review.

NGOGrant publishes practical information about NGO registration, government grants, CSR, FCRA, accounting records, project proposals and reporting. Grant articles should identify the official source, relevant eligibility, application channel, verification date and any uncertainty about the deadline or intake status. A published funding route is not necessarily an open application.

Authorship, sources and professional review

NGOGrant may use research software and AI-assisted drafting tools. Editorial responsibility for published information remains with the platform. An article’s editorial byline does not imply that a government department, funder, lawyer, chartered accountant or auditor has approved or independently certified it.

Where a specialist professional has actually reviewed a guide, their name, relevant qualification and the scope of review should be identified on that guide. Otherwise, readers should treat the material as general preparation guidance and check the current official instructions for their case.

What he edits

He sets the standards for NGOGrant’s guides on NGO registration (trust, society, Section 8 company), NGO Darpan, 12A/80G (now sections 332 and 354 of the Income-tax Act, 2025), FCRA, CSR funding, project proposals, utilisation reporting and the funding opportunities tracker. Articles carry his byline when he is editorially responsible for them. Where a specialist has reviewed a guide, that review is named separately on the guide.
