Editorial Policy

How NGOGrant researches, labels, reviews and corrects its NGO guidance and funding information.

Useful guidance with evidence

Our priority is useful information supported by evidence. Search visibility and commercial interests should not override accurate descriptions of official requirements or a funder’s current intake.

Source standard

For regulated and time-sensitive topics, we prioritise Acts, Rules, notifications, official gazettes, government and regulator portals, current forms, scheme guidelines and official funder instructions. Secondary material may provide context, but it does not override a current primary source.

Dates, geography and uncertainty

Guides should identify relevant source dates and State or Union Territory differences. A migration or formatting update does not become a new factual verification date. Unclear or conflicting requirements should be stated as unresolved rather than converted into certainty.

Funding routes are a separate directory

The Blog explains processes and opportunities. The Funding routes directory records the funder, route type, geography, eligibility, deadline or intake information, source link and original check date. Our free grant-source verification toolkit explains the status categories, their limitations and a reusable review worksheet.

A general CSR page, past award, annual report or historical project is not enough to label a route as an open grant. We distinguish dated calls, rolling grants, published proposal routes, partnership enquiries, invitations, routes without a verified public application channel, and closed or historical calls. Empanelment is identified separately from a cash grant where relevant.

Editorial leadership and responsibility

NGOGrant is edited by Vekho P. Ringa. The Editor is responsible for editorial direction, publication standards and the handling of corrections. Contributors are accountable for the material submitted under their names. Author profiles set out qualifications and experience relevant to the subjects they cover.

Where content has received specialist review, the reviewer is named, their relevant qualifications are stated and the scope of that review is explained. Legal, tax, audit and certification opinions are credited to the qualified professional who provided them.

Research tools, attribution and evidence

NGOGrant may use AI and other digital tools to organise research and assist drafting. The same sourcing, attribution and correction standards apply to material prepared with these tools. Responsibility for publication decisions, factual accuracy and corrections remains with NGOGrant.

First-hand accounts and reported outcomes require attributable evidence. Illustrative examples, budgets and case studies are labelled, with the assumptions behind them made clear.

Corrections and commercial separation

Send a guide URL or funding-route ID, the issue and supporting official evidence to contact@ngogrant.in. Material corrections should update the existing guide or route and explain a significant change where appropriate.

Sponsored or affiliate content, where used, should be clearly disclosed. Purchasing a product or service does not influence an official funding, tax or registration decision.

Professional boundaries

Guides, checklists and templates support preparation. State practice, live portal requirements and the applicable authority’s instructions must be checked for an actual filing. Professional advice, audit, certification and representation remain with the qualified person engaged for that work.
