In short: if your NGO is about to register on the NPO DARPAN portal (ngodarpan.gov.in) and you want to finish the form in one sitting instead of three, this kit gives you the checklist, a field-by-field preparation sheet and five Word templates to collect everything first. It suits a first-time secretary or accountant as much as a consultant handling several NGOs. Buying it does not register you; you still sign up and submit on the portal yourself.

Who this kit is for, and who can skip it

How to use it in three sittings

  1. Collect. Open the checklist sheet and gather the registration certificate, PAN and the details of each Governing Body member. Use the office-bearer and witness forms to get details from members in writing, not over the phone.
  2. Prepare. Fill the portal-field preparation sheets so every answer is typed and checked before you log in. Pick your Act name from the State-wise list, exactly as the portal lists it.
  3. Submit and track. Sign up, complete the profile, and use the 30-day tracker and the error checklist if the portal shows a message you do not recognise.

What this kit does

This kit helps a trust, society or Section 8 company in any State or Union Territory of India get its papers and data ready before it opens the NPO DARPAN portal, so the online form can be finished in one sitting. Every statement about the portal comes only from the portal itself or from the official guides and circulars it publishes. Our own suggested formats are marked “NGOGrant suggestion”; they are not portal rules.

Some grants need a Darpan ID. For example, the NCPUL seminar grant for Urdu events requires registration on the NGO Darpan portal. This kit does not make you eligible for any grant.

Questions buyers ask

Does this kit get my DARPAN ID approved? No. You register on the official portal yourself, and the outcome depends on the portal and the details you enter. The kit helps you prepare.

Is it only for one State? No. It covers trusts, societies and Section 8 companies in every State and Union Territory, with Act names as the portal lists them.

Can I use the NITI Aayog logo once we are registered? No. The portal’s own advisory says not to use the NITI Aayog name or logo or the National Emblem, and not to describe a DARPAN ID as approval by NITI Aayog. General information only, not legal advice.

Is anything posted to me? No. It is a digital download in one ZIP file.

Applying to a government scheme that asks for an NGO Darpan ID, such as the MIB community radio grant 2026-31? Use this kit to get your Darpan details in order first. It does not make you eligible for any grant.
