Understand implementing-agency registration and readiness.
Our fee
CSR-1 registration: ₹5,999 (inclusive of GST) professional fee
Any government fee, if one applies, is extra and separate from our professional fee, paid at actual cost to the authority or portal.
Who it suits: trusts, societies and Section 8 companies that want to register, or review an existing record, as a CSR implementing agency.
What we deliver: a check of the task and applicant category; reconciled entity particulars and records; coordination of your approval and the practising professional’s certification; submission of the agreed application; and a handover of the registration outcome and next work.
What you supply: any existing CSR-1 records, evidence of who established the organisation and its legal instrument, relevant tax orders and track-record documents. You approve the facts and sign; a CA, CS or Cost Accountant in practice certifies the form.
Expected working time: timeline confirmed after document review. The authority decides the application and its timing; we do not guarantee approval.
Next step: tell us on WhatsApp whether you need a new registration or a review of an existing number.
What is included: our professional fee for document preparation and filing support for this service.
What is extra: DSC (digital signature certificate) extra if needed, at actual cost. Government fees (where they apply), stamp duty and DSC are extra at actual cost.

This is document and filing support, not legal or tax advice. Registration/approval is decided by the government authority; we do not guarantee approval.
Important: NGOGrant.in does not award or guarantee grants. Our guides and the official portal links are open to read at no charge. Our professional fee (shown above) is separate and is only for preparation and filing help, never for “sanctioning” a grant or approval. Beware anyone who takes money to guarantee funding.

CSR-1 is an implementing-agency registration route in the CSR framework. It should never be described as a CSR funding sanction or a company endorsement.
CSR-1 registration: check your organisation’s route first
Registration and the work you need
CSR-1 is the registration form for entities within the implementing-agency framework under the Companies (Corporate Social Responsibility Policy) Rules. It records the entity that proposes to undertake CSR activities on a company’s behalf. The company still assesses the proposed work and its own responsibilities; a registration number is not a grant sanction.
First decide whether you need a new registration, a review of an existing number, help with a filing query or a project proposal. If the organisation already has CSR-1 records, collect them before starting another application. A consultant change, a new project or an unfamiliar certificate is a reason to review the record, not to assume a new entity registration is needed.
Applicant category and eligibility
Applicant classification matters. The Rule 4 framework distinguishes organisations established by a company, those established by the Central or a State Government, statutory bodies, and independent eligible organisations. A Section 8 company, trust or society label alone does not identify the correct category. Keep evidence of who established it and the applicable legal instrument.
Tax-related conditions form part of the relevant implementing-agency routes; they are not simply an optional preference of a corporate donor. Review the precise category, the actual tax orders and the applicable legal/form wording. Government-established and statutory routes have different conditions from ordinary independent organisations. Do not copy one NGO’s attachment set as a universal rule.
For the independent route, the rule refers to an established track record of at least three years in similar activities. An old registration certificate does not by itself prove that history. Prepare a dated account of relevant projects, the role actually performed and available supporting records. Do not describe a founder’s personal experience as the applicant organisation’s completed work.
A company-established route is about actual establishment by the company, singly or with another company. A funding letter or a promise of a future partnership is not enough to establish that relationship. Government support also differs from establishment by government. Have the underlying evidence reviewed before relying on a category with different conditions.
Tax orders and supporting evidence
Keep exemption-registration and donor-approval orders separately, with their periods and any pending, expired or adverse status. The published CSR-1 form uses legacy section 12A, specified section 10(23C) and section 80G wording; current section 332/354 orders need their corresponding legal treatment reviewed. The published section 10(23C) form options also mention 80G. Do not infer a waiver, or treat a pending tax application as an issued approval.
Prepare consistent legal particulars, entity PAN, registration details, address, contact and representative information. Confirm the upload list on the live MCA CSR-1 form before filing. Formation, tax, activity and authority records can still be needed for professional verification. Confirm the live form before treating this as a complete upload list; source details are linked below.
For an independent organisation, make the activity history useful to the reviewer: identify the period, programme, location, work delivered and the evidence available. Accounts, annual reports, project records and earlier engagement documents can support the review where relevant. This preparation is not a demand to invent missing accounts or a declaration that every such record is a mandatory upload.
Signatures, certification and filing
The prescribed form separates the entity’s digital signature from the practising professional’s digital certification. Its entity roles differ: a director for a Section 8 company; a trustee or CEO for a public trust; a chairperson, CEO or secretary for a society; and an authorised representative for a statutory entity. The declaration records the authorising resolution number and date. Verify the actual authority and current form before signing.
Agree secure access and signing arrangements with the responsible people. NGOGrant’s public enquiry is for the broad requirement, not PAN numbers, identity copies, passwords, OTPs or digital-signature credentials. A professional’s availability and review findings affect the preparation schedule; purchasing a DSC or marking a checklist cannot settle eligibility.
Before filing, compare the selected category, establishment evidence, tax records where relevant, similar-activity history where required, declarations and attachments. Retain the filed form, acknowledgement and resulting CSR registration communication. The person arranging the filing should also identify who will monitor and respond to any communication within the agreed scope.
After registration and separate work
After registration, assess each proposed project and corporate engagement separately. Agree the work, budget, reporting, responsibility for expenditure records and any professional reporting required by that engagement. Proposal preparation, accounts, utilisation reporting and annual compliance are separate services unless expressly included in your written scope.
An existing number does not settle a later change in legal identity, tax status or another relevant fact. Bring the actual change, previous form and official communication for review. No universal annual CSR-1 renewal fee, automatic update procedure or fixed correction window is asserted here; the applicable current process must be checked.
The May 2026 CSR amendments introduce a separate route involving zero coupon zero principal instruments on a Social Stock Exchange. That is not automatically included in ordinary CSR-1 filing assistance. If the request involves such an instrument or exchange registration, identify it at the beginning so the distinct regulatory work can be assessed.
If the real objective is funding, say so when requesting a quotation. CSR-1 preparation can address the organisation’s registration work, while project design, proposals and institutional advisory require a different engagement. Neither buying a registration package nor receiving an acknowledgement commits a company to finance the organisation.
Established by a company
Rule 4(1)(a): qualifying Section 8 company, public trust or society, with the prescribed tax condition. Establishment evidence matters; this limb does not impose the independent-route three-year condition.
Established by government
Rule 4(1)(b): the specified government-established entities have a distinct route. Its text does not repeat the ordinary tax or three-year conditions; the establishment claim must still be verified.
Statutory body
Rule 4(1)(c): a body constituted under a Parliamentary or State Act for Schedule VII activities. Registration under a general law is not the same thing.
Independent organisation
Rule 4(1)(d): qualifying legal form, prescribed tax condition and at least three years undertaking similar activities. An old incorporation date alone is insufficient.
How our CSR-1 registration support works
- 1 Identify the task Check whether the organisation needs a new registration, readiness review, existing-record assistance or another service.
- 2 Review category and prerequisites Connect the legal structure with establishment evidence, relevant tax orders and the applicable track record.
- 3 Prepare consistent information Reconcile entity particulars and records, then confirm the actual form and attachments.
- 4 Obtain the required review and signatures The applicant approves its facts and signing authority; the practising professional performs their verification and certification.
- 5 Submit the agreed application Coordinate authorised filing and retain the acknowledgement and communications.
- 6 Hand over the result and next work Record the available registration outcome and separate ongoing records, projects and annual compliance.
Who signs and who certifies a CSR-1 form
LendLink Tech Private Limited prepares information and coordinates the agreed work. CSR-1 certification is performed by a Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary or Cost Accountant in whole-time practice. The prescribed certificate concerns verification of the particulars and attachments against the applicant’s original or certified records. It is a substantive professional act, not a signature purchased without review.
NGOGrant does not present itself as MCA, a CA firm or a law firm. Certification is performed by the responsible qualified professional in their own capacity. A registration number does not replace corporate project assessment or guarantee funding.
CSR-1 registration FAQs
No. The registration task and a company’s project-selection decision are separate. A quotation for CSR-1 assistance does not include funding, a corporate partnership or a grant award.
The answer depends on the applicant’s category and evidence. The independent route has a similar-activity track-record condition. Company-established, government-established and statutory categories must be assessed on their own facts; a new registration date alone does not resolve eligibility.
No. Where the independent-route condition applies, the review concerns an established record in similar activities. Prepare the organisation’s actual project history and supporting evidence rather than relying only on its incorporation or registration date.
A prospective donor’s support is not the same as evidence that the company established the organisation. Have the formation and establishment records assessed before selecting the company-established category.
No. Relevant tax conditions are part of the applicable Rule 4 routes. The category and actual orders must be reviewed; separate donor due diligence does not replace that legal assessment.
Share that status and the actual order or filing history for review. A pending application is not an approval, and the corresponding tax-service checklist does not determine CSR-1 eligibility.
Use a case-specific list. Distinguish identity and registration information, prescribed uploads, professional-review evidence and a donor’s later project requirements. Do not assume Darpan, FCRA, bank papers or all accounts are universal CSR-1 attachments.
NGOGrant coordinates preparation and the professional engagement. The prescribed certification is performed by the responsible CA, CS or Cost Accountant in whole-time practice, using their digital signature. The applicant’s authorised signature remains a separate step.
Start by reviewing the existing filed form and registration communication. Explain the change or difficulty before commissioning a fresh filing. A new project or consultant does not itself establish that another registration is needed.
No annual renewal package is assumed. Existing-record maintenance, a change in particulars or a query needs its actual current procedure checked. Any ongoing assistance must be expressly scoped.
Request a written quotation separating preparation, professional certification, applicable statutory charges, taxes and any agreed third-party work. Confirm the total and additional-work terms before payment.
Preparation depends on consistent records, eligibility review, authorised signing and professional availability. No fixed completion time or successful outcome is promised; agree follow-up responsibilities before starting.
The implementing-agency registration question differs from a company carrying out its CSR activity directly. Identify the actual parties and delivery arrangement rather than applying one registration requirement to every participant.
Only if separately included in writing. CSR-1 preparation, project proposals, accounts, audit and professional utilisation reporting involve different work and responsibilities.
The May 2026 amendments introduce a distinct instrument route. Exchange registration and zero coupon zero principal instruments require their own assessment and are not automatically covered by this CSR-1 package.
Describe the legal form, establishment category, broad tax-registration position, relevant activity history and whether a CSR number already exists. Keep exact identifiers, documents and signing credentials out of the public message.
