How to read NGO grant updates

Grant Updates holds the funding calls we have written up in detail for Indian NGOs, newest first, plus our monthly roundups: dated CSR RFPs, government grant-in-aid windows and foreign grants, each with the official source, the deadline as the funder states it, and who can apply. Closed calls stay up as records with a clear closed note. A foreign grant normally needs FCRA registration or prior permission (FCRA 2010). Last verified 22 Oct 2026. General information only, not legal advice.

These articles report individual funding announcements, deadlines and revisions. A post reflects its stated source-review date, not a promise that the application window is still open now. A funder may extend, close or restrict an intake after publication.

  • Check the latest issuer notice and amendments before using an older deadline or funding amount.
  • Confirm the relevant NGO category, project location, closing time and current application channel.
  • Separate a dated grant call from a CSR partner enquiry, invitation or general programme description.
