TAG Architects of Trust TB Vaccines EOI 2026: Who Can Apply and How

Short answer: Treatment Action Group (TAG), with Wellcome funding, invites Expressions of Interest for Architects of Trust: community-driven demand creation for new TB vaccines. Grants of up to US$45,000 will be awarded to 8 CSO partners across 14 high-TB-burden countries and regions, including India. Stage 1 is a short online EOI due by 5 November 2026, 1:29 pm IST (4 November 2026, 23:59 Pacific Time). Stage 2 is invite-only. The project lead must attend an in-person workshop in Zaragoza, Spain, 12–16 April 2027. Selection is not guaranteed.

Foreign grant: Indian NGOs normally need FCRA registration or prior permission (FCRA 2010) to receive these funds. General information only, not legal advice. See our FCRA registration and prior permission service.

Practical answers before you start

Who should apply: an Indian civil society or community-based organisation working on TB, immunisation or health advocacy, with real community engagement or policy experience, that can sketch a 12-month demand-creation plan for new TB vaccines and send a project lead to Zaragoza in April 2027.

Who should skip this call: groups with no TB/immunisation/health advocacy track record; applicants who cannot commit to the Spain workshop dates; and anyone treating an EOI as a funding guarantee. Only eight CSO partners will be funded across 14 countries and regions — this is a tight, competitive window.

Keep ready:

What happens next: Stage 1 is the short online EOI. Only invited organisations move to Stage 2 (full 12-month workplan, milestones, budget — due 11 Jan 2027). Official timeline also lists a webinar on 28 Oct 2026, EOI outcomes on 4 Dec 2026, and selection on 27 Jan 2027. Projects begin 1 March 2027. None of this guarantees an award.

Is this the right call?

This is an advocacy and community-demand call for new TB vaccines — not a clinic construction grant and not a general health CSR pot. TAG also notes that using AI to write or draft application materials is strongly discouraged. If your CSO already does TB or immunisation advocacy and can field a lead for Spain in April 2027, start with the EOI PDF. If you need multi-year service delivery funding without travel, look elsewhere.

Indian applicants planning to receive foreign contribution should also read our FCRA bank account guide and FCRA renewal status guide. General information only, not legal advice.

How much, and for how long?

Grants of up to US$45,000 will be awarded to 8 CSO partners across 14 high-TB-burden countries and regions. Each grant funds 12 months of work; projects begin 1 March 2027. Partners also receive advocacy training, technical assistance and mentorship from TAG and the TB Vaccine Advocacy Roadmap (TB Vax ARM). Eight awards across many countries means competition is high — funding is not guaranteed. Do not treat any rupee conversion as an official promise; none is published.

Frequently asked questions

How much is an Architects of Trust grant?

TAG states grants of up to US$45,000 will be awarded to 8 CSO partners across 14 high-TB-burden countries and regions. Each grant funds 12 months of work; projects begin 1 March 2027. Only eight awards are planned — selection is competitive and not guaranteed. No rupee conversion is published as a promise.

What is the EOI deadline for Architects of Trust?

Stage 1 Expression of Interest closes Wednesday, 4 November 2026, at 23:59 Pacific Time — 5 November 2026, 1:29 pm IST (Asia/Calcutta; US clocks are on PST after 1 November 2026). Confirm on the live TAG page and EOI PDF before you submit.

Who can apply from India?

Civil society or community-based organisations operating at national, subnational or regional level and based in an eligible country — India is named. Experience in TB, immunisation or other health advocacy, plus community engagement or policy advocacy, is expected. Indian legal form (Trust / Society / Section 8) is not specified by TAG. The project lead must be able to attend the in-person 8th Global TB Vaccine Forum and Architects of Trust strategy workshop in Zaragoza, Spain, 12–16 April 2027. Travel funding is not stated on the source — do not assume it is covered.

Do Indian NGOs need FCRA for this grant?

TAG pages checked on 23 Oct 2026 do not state FCRA. The grant is paid in USD by a US organisation (TAG) with Wellcome (UK) funds, so Indian recipients normally need FCRA registration or prior permission (FCRA 2010) to receive foreign contribution. General information only, not legal advice.

How do you apply — Stage 1 and Stage 2?

Stage 1: complete the short online EOI form (linked from the TAG call and EOI PDF) with a brief sketch of activities. Stage 2 is invitation-only: a full 12-month workplan, milestones and budget. Webinar 28 Oct 2026; EOI outcomes 4 Dec 2026; Stage 2 due 11 Jan 2027; selection 27 Jan 2027 (per official timeline). NGOGrant does not submit EOIs for you.
